Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. Also, she sings. When she was a kid she was subjected to racial taunts by American citizens of all races. She began to gain confidence in the ninth grade when she appeared in an audition. She received a lot of praise by the judges for her vocal ability. This not only increased her confidence but altered the direction she pursued in her professional career. In 1992, she earned her degree from New York's Julliard School. She started her professional journey at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. Her most memorable break came from her role as The Lady of The Lake, in the original Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her performance. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater fame. A singer by profession and producer, she's produced songs as well as an extended work. Also, she's been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
